Glasses Help

Time for Tidbit Tuesday.

It’s almost the end of the year. I hope everyone had a great Christmas holiday.

We’re coming up on New Year’s, and what I would like to remind you is that if you signed up for health insurance and got that taken care of, you still might need vision insurance. (Mind you, if you don’t wear glasses or contacts, you do not need vision insurance). But if you do wear glasses or contacts, I have a great plan through VSP.

With VSP, you can save a ton of money, and get a discount on allowance, plus a discount on glasses. You get your exam for $15. It’s just $17 a month for an individual which is not bad at all. And then, of course, you can add spouse or family members to the plan. That does cost a little more but it’s just one of those things that if you need vision insurance, especially if you do not get it through your employer,  it’s a great plan.

Almost all optometrists take VSP, it’s probably the most widely accepted one across the nation

I hope you guys have a happy New Year. One New Year’s resolution I would recommend to you is to get your eyes checked if you’re not seeing well. But before you do that, let’s make your coverage effective for January 1.
